My fiance (Alisha Turner) recently took up fly fishing. I bought her and I both FlyLogic rod's and reels to get her started.
This past weekend while in the Sierra Nevada, Lower Owens River, California, Alisha put her practice and persistence to the test on the catch and release/wild trout section of the river.
While I worked a small pool, she located her area. She selected her pattern, laid her fly down perfectly...and bam! -She hooked her first wild German Brown. It isn't the biggest fish, but I sure am proud of her.
