Didn't get much of a chance to my new Fly Logic salt water reel in B.C. but just got back from Kodiak Island where we stuck a whole bunch of silver salmon lips from float tubes. The reel performed flawlessly and I'm especially impressed with the drag's consistency, even after many very fast and long runs by the 20+ # salmon. Kodiak has one of the largest species of silver salmon in the world and you can count on hard hits and long reel screaming runs.
This photo was taken about 3 weeks ago on a nearby pond. She measured 28 1/2 " and Fish & Game estimates her weight at 9#. I nicknamed her "shoulders."
